Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley (“BGCSV”) may provide you with an opportunity to opt in to receive special offers, event notifications, and other text messages on your wireless telephone. By opting in—whether by providing BGCSV with your wireless telephone number on a social networking page, texting BGCSV to (408) 957-9685, or signing up through a BGCSV mobile device application (“app”) or website—you consent to receive text or e-mail messages at the telephone number, including Short Message Service (SMS) messages.

Terms and Conditions

1. Message and Data Rates
   Standard carrier message and data rates may apply. Please consult your mobile service carrier’s pricing plan to determine the charges for sending and receiving text messages.
2. Opt-out Instructions
   You may opt-out from future messages at any time by texting STOP to (408) 957-9685 from your mobile phone. If you request to opt-out from future messages, we may send you a one-time opt-out confirmation text message.

4. Carrier Availability
   This text messaging program may not be available on all wireless carriers. The program is currently available for AT&T, U.S. Cellular, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Cricket, Boost, MetroPCS®, Virgin Mobile, and T-Mobile®. BGCSV may add or remove any wireless carrier from this program without notice.
5. Message Frequency
   Message frequency may vary depending on events, programs, and user engagement.
6. Emergency Communications Disclaimer
   SMS alerts should not be relied upon for emergency communications.
7. Data Collection and Usage
   • BGCSV may collect and store user data, including phone numbers, message logs, and opt-in/opt-out records.
   • This data is used solely for communication, event notifications, and promotional updates related to BGCSV.
   • BGCSV does not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. However, data may be shared with service providers facilitating SMS delivery.

8. Age Restrictions & Compliance
   • By opting in, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old or have received parental/guardian consent if under 13.

• GoTo, our phone and SMS provider, is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• BGCSV is also not liable for message failures, security breaches, or unintended consequences of messaging.

• These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
• Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration before resorting to litigation.
