Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley names Ronald Goossens to Board of Directors
SAN JOSE, Calif. – July 15, 2026 – PRLog — Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley (BGCSV), a nonprofit youth services group providing after-school voluntary activities for young people through clubhouses across the valley, announced the appointment of Ronald Goossens to its board of directors. Goossens holds positions as a part-time Senior Strategy Manager for ASML and acts as Adjunct Professor of Nanolithography at Purdue University.
“Ronald embodies what it means to use experience in service of others,” said Mark Washbush, President of Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley. “After a remarkable career spanning industry and higher education, he’s chosen to invest his time and expertise in helping create opportunities for the next generation. That commitment to paying it forward reflects the heart of our mission, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to our Board of Directors and as Chair of our Program Advisory Council.”
During his years with Phillips Research, Stanford University, National Semiconductor, and NXP Semiconductor, Goossens worked on the modeling of electron transport in transistors, of analog circuit behavior, and of system-level digital designs. For the last 20 years, he has worked at ASML on Computational Lithography with emphasis on control applications in semiconductor manufacturing.
“I have been lucky with a successful and satisfying professional career,” said Goossens. “Now it is time to pay it forward to the next generation. At ASML, I do that by mentoring mid-career professionals. At Purdue, I do that by educating students. Now, at the BGCSV, I have the opportunity to contribute to opportunities for the youngsters that are most deserving of our support.”
