Award recognizes BGCSV’s Chief Development Officer among Valley’s most influential female business leaders

SAN JOSE, Calif. – July 11, 2024 – PRLog — Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley (BGCSV), one of the region’s largest youth development organizations providing after-school voluntary activities for young people, is proud to announce BGCSV Chief Development Officer Machelle Locsin has been named to the Silicon Valley Business Journals’ 2024 Women of Influence. This list encompasses women from every industry and profession — women who have made a difference in their communities, blazing a trail for others.

“Being recognized as one of the 2024 Women of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal is an incredible honor,” said Locsin. “This award reflects the collective efforts of our team at Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley, who work tirelessly to support and empower the youth in our community. As we look to the future, I could not be more excited to play a role in continuing to drive growth, innovation, and opportunity for all our club members. There is so much to do.”

Locsin is an experienced non-profit executive who has held multiple leadership positions at leading community organizations such as the American Cancer Society and Catholic Charities. In her current role, Locsin oversees fundraising strategy and operations, leads a high-performing team, and builds strategic alliances that drive BGCSV’s initiatives and achieves its business goals. Locsin is also a volunteer with the American Cancer Society and an active member of the Rotary Club of San Jose.

“Machelle’s tremendous influence is rooted in her exceptional dedication to serving others,” stated Steve Wymer, President & CEO of BGCSV. “It’s rare to find a leader who genuinely inspires colleagues, industry peers, and community leaders to engage in a cause bigger than themselves with the grace and exuberance Machelle brings to her work. We are all honored to work alongside Machelle and support her leveraging influence to make a difference for underserved youth across Silicon Valley.”
