Through the support of countless community members like you, Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley has been making that vision a reality for youth for 80 years.
2016
The inaugural Gala marked the beginning of a tradition worth celebrating! Our 2016 Youth of the Year, Jocelyn, went on to be named Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Youth of the Year, representing BGCSV on the national stage. She received her award and a $145,000 scholarship at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., in front of an audience including members of Congress and celebrity alumni.
2018
Club teens continued to rise as leaders and role models in our community, and we were proud to name Destiny as Youth of the Year at our 3rd annual Gala. Her dedication and achievements earned her the opportunity to represent BGCSV at the state level, continuing our legacy of showcasing extraordinary young leaders.
2020
In lieu of a traditional Gala, we launched “The Unevent Series,” an original YouTube series sharing stories, moments, and memories from across the Club. Volunteers hand-delivered cheer to Club supporters’ homes, proving that when community comes together, we can weather any challenge.
2022
Our comeback Gala brought community resilience into full view. We proudly named Isaac the 2022 Youth of the Year and celebrated the incredible strength of youth in our community.
2024
This year marked explosive growth for the Club as it more than doubled in number of Clubhouses and youth served. The Gala reflected that surge — bigger and better than ever. Attendees celebrated Matthew, who, after being named our 2023 Youth of the Year, was honored again in 2024 and proudly represented BGCSV in Sacramento at the state level.
2026
The stage is set for a decade of impact! We can’t wait to join you for our ten-year anniversary of celebrating great futures and youth excellence. Together, let’s ignite the next decade of opportunity, leadership, and limitless potential.

In a typical year, Boys & Girls Clubs provides a safe haven for 6,000+ local youth, giving them an opportunity to discover their great futures. Over our 80-year history, Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley has transformed the lives of countless young people, inspiring hope and fostering a sense of belonging. By offering a safe and supportive space, the organization has empowered members to overcome challenges, build meaningful relationships, and develop essential life skills.
